2008 ICOTY Awards

Dodge Caravan’s “Rooms” Wins
4th Annual HEARTSTRING Recipient

Heart String AwardROAD & TRAVEL Magazine (RTM) announced its fourth annual HEART STRING Award recipient for the "most emotionally compelling" car commercial of the year at its 12th Annual International Car of the Year Awards (ICOTY). A jury of nationally-renowned automotive journalists selected Dodge Caravan's "Rooms" as the fourth HEART STRING recipient, the most emotionally compelling car commercial to appear on national television in 2007.

The tribute, sponsored by ROAD & TRAVEL Magazine, is designed to recognize how well automakers connect cars and consumers based on lifestyle and the emotional experience during ownership. Fourteen automakers participated by providing 30-second spots, which were viewed and voted upon by the ICOTY jury.

The top finalist commercials were Dodge Caravan’s “Rooms” by BBDO Detroit, Lincoln MKZ’s “Runner” by Young & Rubicam Detroit and Hyundai’s “Air” by Goodby Silverstein & Partners, each of which received recognition at the event.
