RTM's 2005 ~ International Car of the Year Awards. On January 8, 2005, RTM announced
its Top 10 winners for the 2005 model year at an exciting black-tie gala at the
Detroit Marriott Renaissance Hotel. Vehicles were honored in 10 categories based
on new model entries or existing models with significant change in design or technology,
and had to meet 7 of 12 criteria.
Winners were selected by
ICOTY's Awards Board, a group of 12 nationally renowned auto
journalists whose expertise are highly respected by automakers throughout the
