St.
Louis at Night
|
Ever
since the days of Lewis and Clark, Missouri has been an ideal
place for business, industry and tourism. Known as the "Show
Me State," -- no one really knows the origin of that nickname
(and maybe it's better that we don't) -- Missouri's proximity
to the center of the nation makes for an short flight from most
cities.
The
thriving metropolis of St. Louis, located just below the confluence
of the Missouri and Mississippi rivers, is the biggest business
destination in the state. The Gateway Arch rises above the city,
marking the area which became a "Gateway to the West"
for pioneers, trappers, and explorers on their way to seek land,
fortune and adventure. And even though it's been almost 200
years since Lewis and Clark first set foot in the city, visitors
who seek adventure will still find it in St. Louis.
Visitors
can enjoy riverboat casinos floating on the waters of the Mississippi,
a tropical rain forest at the Missouri Botanical Garden, rides
and roller coasters at Six Flags, and a festival marketplace
filled with shops at St. Louis Union Station. And if that's
not enough, check out one of the many professional sports teams
or even go on a free tour of the Anheuser-Busch Brewery and
receive a complimentary product sample! Now that's what we call
adventure!
