2003 Ford Cars Model Guide
by Bob Plunkett

2003 Ford ZX2
2003 Ford ZX2

This two-door hatchback coupe derived from the former subcompact Escort is the price-leader in Ford's line but it feels feisty due to a Zetec four-in-line engine pumping 130 hp.

Trims sort to Standard, Deluxe and Premium, all with standard features like power mirrors, premium stereo and a spoiler for the tail.

More equipment arrives in 2003, such as a stereo kit with in-dash CD deck and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and map light for Deluxe or power controls on windows and door locks plus a remote keyless entry system for Premium.
