La Tour Eiffel, Paris

How would like to eat a different cheese  every day this year? Or drink a different wine every day for 450 days? Then head to the number one tourist destination in the world and join the other 67 million overseas tourists who flock to France annually.

It's really no surprise that France is such a tourism favorite -- after all, it has all the romance, chateaux, towering mountains and gorgeous beaches a country needs to attract visitors. It has some of the most architecturally beautiful cities (and villages) in the world and is home to the arguably the best art museums in Europe. Anyone who's been to the Louvre can vouch for its immense collection of famous works of art -- such a huge museum, it's not hard to get lost.

Is there really a better place to go for business? Between the fabulous food and the laid-back French lifestyle, you should be thanking your lucky stars. If you're flying in to Roissy (Charles de Gaulle) airport, a 35-minute train ride from the heart of Paris, take a few minutes to appreciate the building's architecture.  Probably one of the most well-known airports in the world, Roissy has been featured in numerous movies, television shows and music videos (U2's "Beautiful Day" was filmed there).

I don't think we even need to go through the list of things to see in Paris -- everyone knows the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe and Notre Dame are must-sees. Make sure to visit Sacre-Coeur basilica and the surrounding area of Montmartre. The daunting walk up the steep hill is worth it -- once at the top, you'll be rewarded with one of the best views in Paris!

Historical Note: After the Viking raids of the 9th century, the Capetian kings made Paris the capital of France and rebuilt the city. Notre Dame (1163), Sainte-Chapelle (1248), and a royal palace (1301) were built on the Cité, making this island the true heart of France.
