LINCOLN NEW CAR MODEL GUIDE |
The 2007 roster of products by Lincoln from the Lincoln-Mercury Division of Ford Motor Company includes two repeating classics -- the elegant Town Car flagship sedan and Navigator, a luxurious super-size SUV. Yet three fresh nameplates also park on Lincoln's lot -- MKZ, a mid-size luxury sedan formerly badged as Zephyr, MKX the new car-like crossover SUV and Mark LT, Lincoln's big luxury truck.

Lincoln
Town Car |
Lincoln's full-size flagship sedans segment into four versions for 2007 -- entry model Signature, upgraded Signature Limited, premium Designer and stretched Signature L. All provide ample firepower through a big engine tuned with low-torque output so a driver feels the juice flowing through all four forward gears. The single-cam 4.6-liter V8 produces 239 hp and ties to a smooth automatic transmission. Standard equipment for all encompasses power adjustable pedals, a programmable keyless entry pad and dual-zone electronic automatic climate controls. And new paints like White Chocolate Clearcoat Tri-Coat and Dark Blue Pearl Clearcoat Metallic dress 2007 issues.

Navigator |
Lincoln 's luxurious full-size SUV stocks a massive V8 and vast cabin with three tiers of seats including a third-row bench that tucks into the floor. And a new version -- Navigator L -- stretches even longer to bring 25 cubic feet more cargo space. Navigator's 5.4-liter V8 delivers 300 hp through a six-speed automatic transmission. For safety, the AdvanceTrac anti-skid gizmo with Roll Stability Control (RSC) is aboard, along with curtain-style air bags, and all-wheel-drive (AWD) traction is available. New seat designs apply in 2007 with options for Dark Ebony or Anigre wood trim in the cabin.

Lincoln MKX |
Alphabetic nameplates spell the future for Lincoln products. First one emerging is the MKX, a luxurious new five-seat crossover SUV as Lincoln's successor SUV to the Aviator. The unibody-based MKX presents a sporty pose off a two-box wagon design with high-tech equipment aboard and a fuel-efficient powertrain working with on-demand all-wheel-drive (AWD) traction. The dual-cam 3.5-liter V6 makes 265 hp with a six-speed automatic shifter. Standard MKX gear ranges from adaptive headlamps and a panoramic glass Vista Roof to heated and cooled bucket seats, curtain-style air bags and a THX 14-speaker audio kit with DVD navigation. |
Lincoln MKZ |
A stylish luxury sedan called Zephyr debuted in Lincoln's '06 line, but for 2007 the mid-size Zephyr switches to the name MKZ. With rechristening, MKZ scores new chrome-plated front styling and an upgrade in the power department from a new twin-cam 3.5-liter V6 that nets 263 hp through a six-speed automatic. MKZ rolls on 17-inch machined aluminum wheels and comes with front-wheel-drive (FWD) traction or optional on-demand AWD. Decor for the five-seat cabin is understated with luxurious materials in satin nickel, soft leathers and real wood plus occasional bright glints of chrome. |
Lincoln
Mark LT |
Lincoln's luxury truck -- riding on the full-size chassis of Ford's big F-150 -- shows Lincoln design cues like the waterfall grille up front and thick-spoke wheels plated in chrome. Inside a four-door cab, there's genuine wood accents plus soft leather on seats and textured aluminum dotting door panels and console. For high power, Ford's 5.4-liter Triton V8 kicks up 300 hp and elevates tow capacity to 8900 pounds. Optional gear extends to four-wheel-drive (4WD) traction, power adjustable pedals and a power moonroof. New Elite trim adds chrome step bars, DVD navigation and Reverse Sensing System (RSS). |
