OnStar Passes the Test

On March 24, Karen Mizell of Griffin, Ga., took a science lesson to a whole new level. Mizell gave her third grade Enrichment students at Peebles Elementary School in Fayetteville, Ga., a hands-on experiment while learning about satellites - she used OnStar.

The students watched as Mizell locked the doors to her 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe and called OnStar for a door unlock request.

While OnStar Advisor Barbara Barr began the unlock process for the anxious students, they took their teachers keys away just to make sure she would not unlock the doors.

When the students heard the sound of the door unlocking, they were delighted and amazed.

Mizell was happy with the experiment results and told Barr, "Thank you for helping me show my kids the real world of GPS."
