Hotels Worldwide recently announced a new relationship with AARP that provides
the organization's members with special rates that are reduced 10 to 25 percent
off rack rates at select global locations of Carlson hotel brands. "We
hope this relationship with AARP will provide additional value to its more than
35 million members," said Jay Witzel, president and CEO of Carlson Hotels
Worldwide. "Active seniors travel extensively both internationally and domestically.
We are pleased to be able to offer special rates to help make travel more affordable
and introduce them to the quality and value offered by our brands." The
partnership provides special rates for AARP members at hotel locations in the
Americas and Asia Pacific for Radisson Hotels & Resorts, Park Plaza Hotels
& Resorts, Country Inns & Suites By Carlson and Park Inn, as well as Radisson
Edwardian Hotels in London and Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts in Europe, the
Middle East and Africa. Special rates for AARP members are 10 percent off
the rack rate at Country Inns & Suites and Park Inn, while rates at Radisson
and Park Plaza range between 10 to 25 percent off the rack rates. The
