How to Fly First Class for no More Than Coach

How to Fly First Class for No More Than Coach

Fly first class for no more than coach? Not only is it possible, such fares are available all the time, says Unpublished Airfare Analyst Matthew Bennett. Bennett, also known as "Mr. Upgrade," has launched a web site that posts free and low-cost upgrade deals on dozens of domestic and international airlines — www.firstclassflyer.com.

The web site specializes in special Business and First Class travel opportunities, such as:

  • Free upgrades for business travelers when flying full-fare with American Airlines, America West, Continental, Delta, Northwest and US Airways
  • How to fly Business Class to Europe for less than $1,000
  • Low-cost upgrades when not flying full-fare
  • First Class to Hawaii at 60 percent off
  • How to get an Elite status card on seven major airlines
  • How to attain Elite status after just 3,334 miles flown
  • Two-for-one tickets on more than 22 airlines
  • How to manage your Frequent Flyer miles to get First and Business Class tickets for half price
  • How you can fly front cabin without getting an upgrade

"Since first and business class travelers represent less than 20 percent of the total airline passenger market, not much has been done to identify these little-known offers," Mr. Upgrade said. "Our job at www.firstclassflyer.com is to continually research all those elusive specials. They're available — if you know where to look. If there's a deal out there that will get our subscribers an upgrade, we'll find it."

www.firstclassflyer.com was created as the only Internet resource devoted to the business and luxury traveler who seeks greater comfort in the air, but doesn't like paying full price. The web site posts new deals almost daily. In addition, Mr. Upgrade's paid subscription news service, FIRST CLASS FLYER, "The Insider's Guide to Free Upgrades and More Comfort In the Air," offers exclusive deals and fares not posted on the web site. "Full Access" Subscription order forms are available at www.firstclassflyer.com

FIRST CLASS FLYER "will steer you to an upgrade almost every time you fly, on many major airlines, both foreign and domestic," Mr. Upgrade said. "We guarantee it."

About Mr. Upgrade
Matthew Bennett was a pitcher for the Kansas City Royals in the minor leagues before he became "Mr. Upgrade." It was with the Royals that he discovered his interest in airline upgrades -- by tracking them down for himself and his teammates. "I became known as 'the guy who doesn't pay retail for anything' - airline tickets included. Needless to say, I quickly became the most popular guy in the clubhouse," he recalls with a chuckle.
