ROAD & TRAVEL Magazine Announces Jury
For Class of 2003 Awards

J.D. Power and Associates to Tabulate Ballots

DETROIT, Mich. (December 11, 2002) -- ROAD & TRAVEL Magazine, an online publication specializing in travel and automotive content for upscale, professional women, announced the jury who will make up their 2003 Awards Board.

Winners will be selected by a panel of nationally renowned automotive journalists of both men and women, reflecting a balanced perspective on each vehicle. Each winner must meet seven of 12 criteria which includes appealing to both men and women, head turning ability, style, performance, grocery getting potential, fun factor, affordable, safe & dependable, proud to be seen in, practical, ergonomically friendly, and very cool. J.D. Power and Associates will tabulate final ballots.

This year's judges include: Courtney Caldwell, RTM editor-in-chief; Denise McCluggage, columnist and senior-contributing editor for AutoWeek; BJ Killeen, RTM editor-at-large; Ann Job, new car test driver for the Associated Press; Steve Siler, RTM national online editor; Warren Brown, auto editor, Washington Post, John McElroy, host of Autoline Detroit; Ken Gross, automotive editor for Playboy and Robb Report; Alex Law, contributing editor, Car & Driver; Kim Cook, managing editor, Corvette Fever magazine; Jackie Mitchell, editor-in-chief of the Auto Industry Multicultural Network Newsletter; and Cheryl Jensen, a free-lance writer who specializes in automotive topics and whose articles have appeared in The New York Times and Chicago Tribune.

Winners will be revealed and automakers honored on January 4, 2003 at RTM's 7th annual awards show and reception held at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Hotel and is being sponsored by Yahoo! Autos, Detroit Marriott Renaissance Hotel, ArvinMeritor Inc., Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Pontiac-GMC, Subaru, American Honda, BMW North America, Hyundai, Kia Motors, Mercedes-Benz USA, Nissan North America, Bridgestone/Firestone and GMAC Financial Services.

RTM targets upscale professional women, a body of consumers who account for more than 40% of all business travelers, and 50% of all new vehicle purchases. Moreover, women influence 85% of all travel and automotive purchases, and spend more time online researching information from which they can make intelligent planning and purchasing decisions.
